All Religion necessarily accept and practice Idol worship. The religion that proclaims to not believe in Idol worship, also do accept Idol in some form or other. But if we want our Deity to ascend in the Idol, we do need to follow some practices and procedures which is reffered as ‘AnjanaShalakha’ in Jain religion. Just as one engages in the practice of applying ‘Anjan’ to the person with a weak eyesight to enhance the vision, similarly in DharmShetra the new Idols of the Deity undergoes the ‘Mantrakriya’ of applying ‘Anjan’ of ‘Ratna Churna’ with ‘SwarnSalakha’ which is referred as ‘AnjanaShalakha’. The ‘PanchKalyanak Mahotsav’ observed during the ‘AnjanaShalakha Pranpratishtha’ reflects the exceptionally unparallel, inspirational and divine life times of Jineshwar Parmatama.
